If you’re looking for a professional, reliable and easy to work with tailor in the Charlottesville area…lucky you…you just found her.   Elisabeth Zillinger is a master seamstress (yes as in a masters degree) from Austria (yes as in Vienna- as in European fashion design and culture ) who, with 30 years of professional sewing, dress making and design under her belt, will happily alter, repair or redesign you favorite outfit.  (And for a reasonable price even)

Elisabeth is a full time seamstress whose sewing studio is in the quaint neighborhood of Hollymead located just north of downtown. (No downtown parking tickets, lines, traffic or spaces to contend with)  Her studio is open 9 to 5 Monday through Friday and is by appointment only. (Don’t worry- all you have to do to get an appointment is call)  Bring your outfits or projects to the studio.  Have alterations done (while you wait, if possible) Have fittings done and measurements taken.

And all of this applies whether your a gal or a guy.  Elisabeth is comfortable with women’s or men’s clothing.  And while we’re on the subject Elisabeth is comfortable with all types of materials and fabrics as well…

Elisabeth moved to Charlottesville from the Washington DC area in 2007.  She moved here just before her son Jeremy was born with her husband Jeff.  The house and studio they own on a lake has evolved over the years into the basement studio that currently is in operation.  Most customers up until recently have been the lucky word-of-mouth ones.  But now,  with a new business card and website her waiting list is sure to get a little longer.
