Elisabeth and family Blue Thimble Sewing Alterations Virginia

Elisabeth, husband Jeff, son Jeremy, E;lisabeth wedding gown, elisabeth blue hair

Hey there.  My name is Jeff, I’m Elisabeth’s husband and the guy who created this website and blog for her business Blue Thimble Sewing.  (I’m also the guy who bugged her nonstop to get a business card , official business license, bank account and…viola…this website)  In making this site I had to do some research with my number 1 source: the owner.

So the other night, notebook in hand, I sat down and harassed her for all the sewing terminology she could tolerate to reveal …so that I could use some of it in this site and sound like I knew what I was talking about.  (This was slightly less thrilling for her I think than pulling teeth for our dogs mouth or clipping the dogs toenails)

So alas… I was able to get the terms out of her while agitating her only slightly . (Agitated that I might actually use all the terms on the site and make a big geeky sewing terminology mess.)  HA!  I would never do such a thing my dear…

So- out of love and respect and a good joke… here they ALL are… in all their geeky glorious details: the sewing terms words and vernacular you always wanted to know but never asked….
